Birds from an old painted cupboard. Round robins with rust-red breasts and slate-blue songbirds perch across a warm cream ground, drawn flat and simple in the folk tradition, their wings marked with small dots and dashes. Between them: sprigs of pine, red winterberry, poinsettia stars, tiny decorated firs, and blue glass ornaments. The ground has a soft linen weave running through it, and the whole thing has the look of something stenciled onto a Swedish dowry chest a hundred years ago.

Printed on smooth matte paper with a low-sheen finish that photographs beautifully and takes a crease cleanly. Good with red ribbon, natural jute, or a strip of blue ticking.
